Location API allows you to perform various checks against a viewers' IP address in order to ensure that they would be able to view content in a given region.

Performs a lookup based on a viewers' IP address to see if they fall inside the allowable geographic region for a video. This is useful when checking to see if a user is able to view a video before allowing them to purchase it for example.

Request URL[Stream Name]&ip=[Viewers IP]&sessionId=[Session ID]&userId=[Client Id]

  • streamname (string) (required) Stream name of video checking against, e.g. ab-1234-live
  • ip (string) (required) Viewers IP address to check against.
